The abduction of a child is one of the most agonizing ordeals that a family can endure. Thankfully, statistics show that most child abductions end with the safe return of the child. However, statistics are of little comfort to a mother whose daughter has just been taken from her and she has no idea where her daughter is or if she is safe. Statistics can't help her, but action can!

In any abduction, time is critical, so the faster you can take action, the better. Our recommendations for the family and friends of an abducted child are as follows:
* Contact the Police immediately!
* Contact family, friends, neighbors
* Contact the media
* Get the word out

If you are a relative or friend of an abducted child, you have the opportunity to communicate with thousands of people in your area or across the country using the ideas and information on this site and others. By acting quickly and reaching as many people as possible, you can make a difference!
